Soloists for Ireland in Christmas Praise!

Darren Mulligan, originally from Monaghan but now based in Nashville, is the lead singer of We Are Messengers. The band have released a number of albums, with several of their songs reaching the Billboard top ten charts. They are currently headlining their Wholehearted Tour across the US.

Katy Treharne’s career has spanned musical theatre, opera, recording and concert work, notably playing the role of Christine as part of the London cast of “The Phantom of the Opera”. Katy is one of the founding members of West End Has Faith, with whom she performs with frequently around the UK.

London-based Lucy Grimble has been leading worship and writing songs for over 10 years. As an Integrity Music signed songwriter, Lucy has released a number of solo albums and also worked on songs with Matt Redman and Graham Kendrick. Lucy performs and leads worship at live events across the UK and beyond, including Prom Praise, Spring Harvest and Big Church Day Out.

Jenny Bourke is a graduate of Queen's University Belfast and of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. As well as teaching a number of singing students weekly, Jenny sings regularly with ensembles such as Melisma and the Ulster Consort, and recently performed in NI Opera’s La Traviata.

Sylvia Burnside has performed regularly as a soloist with New Irish Arts for over 25 years, and has featured on many occasions in major concert halls of Ireland, as well as on several broadcasts for RTE television and BBC Songs of Praise. In 2017 released an album with the New Irish Choir and Orchestra, produced by Jonathan Rea.
